Q. What types of Health Insurance do we accept?
A. We accept the following plans:
NOTICE: You will be responsible for any charges incurred at this office if your insurance should refuse payment to our office. To assure insurance coverage, please contact your insurance administrator to make sure that this office is covered under your plan. Please understand that verification of our participation in your plan does not guarantee payment for services, so please do call your administrator and have them double check that they will cover your visit to and treatment in our office.

Q: Should I bring x-rays?
A: You should only bring x-rays if they were taken during the last 12 months.

Q: Do I need to be early for my appointment?
A: Yes, it will take at least 15-20 minutes to fill out paper work. If you would like to complete your paperwork before coming to the office, please see the first question above to download necessary patient forms.

Q: How long will my first visit take?
A: You should plan to be here for about 2 hours from time of check in to time of leaving the office

Q: Since this is a specialist office will I need to check with my primary doctor or insurance company to see if I need a referral?
A: Yes. You also need to check and be sure we are in your network.

Q: How long will I be in the hospital when I have a total joint replacement done?
A: 3-4 days for knees and 4-5 days for hips depending on how well you are doing.

Q: Where will my total replacement surgery take place?
A: Methodist Hospital - 83rd and Dodge Streets

Q: How long will I have to wear support hose?
A: 4-6 weeks depending on the doctor.

Q: How long after a total replacement will I be able to drive?
A: 4-8 weeks depending on the type of replacement and the doctor.
